Clutch cable ????????????????????

hey fellas i was wondering if my clutch cable needs to be replace in my 97 se-r..............Whenever i push the clutch in while the car is off it makes a clunking/clicking noise and when driving it goes into gear really fast and there no pedal travel.........theres no clutch slippage, just the clicking while its not moving turned off ...........any ideas............if its the cable no biggie but i hope its not the throw out bearing............what do u guys recond

Sounds like the cable has had it. There is also a guide for the cable through the firewall, make sure that hasn't come loose. Check the clutch lever off the trans and make sure it moves without having to force it.

My guess is the clutch cable has had it, or desperately needs to be lubed.

I didn't realize the cable could be lubed.

How can that be done?

My '93 NX2000 has a cable that's tight, making the clutch pedal hard to depress.
