Hey, newb here I just picked up a 91 ser as a daily driver and my problems are starting shes been running fine until this moring when she wouldnt fire up. She turns over and shes getting fuel the plugs are wet but Im not getting any spark, just wondering if theres a common problem with the coil or possibly any other sensor that controls spark? Any help would be great!
There's nothing thats common but I would start with the dist. cap and the rotor. Maybe you've got a little water in there or something causing it to not get a good connection. after that I might consider the coil.
I had this happen once on my 91 se-R. turned out my plug wires were bad. I swaped the new wires off my 93 and the car ran perfect. I've noticed on these cars that when the plug wires go..THEY GO!. LoL
Sounds like you've been taking the right steps. just keep tracing the problem backwards and you should hit it.

If you are trying to get faster on a track you will go off course. The question is where, and how bad..............

I cleaned the plugs they were just regular copper resistor ngks then I pulled the distributor cap off it was fine seemed pretty new to me no carborn build up and the wires are new ngk wires. So Im guessing coil or igintion module.
Check that you get bat+ on the black/red wire on the coil when ignition is on. If not check fuse. That the jet's spray is a good sign that means that the crank(cam) shaft position sensor is working. Maybe the power transistor is gone. Connect a 5W lamp to the two pin coil connector. It should blink when you turn the engine.

I have 12 volts to the coil when the ignition is on so I probably have a bad coil Im guessing.

Check the resistance of the primary and seconday coil, that should be a good indication that the coil is bad if its out of spec, if thats good, some auto parts stores have a ignition module tester, I would try to do something like that too.
