GA16VE N1? or GA16VET? or just GA16VE?

anyone know about doing a head swap on the GA block with an SR16VE head (possibly the N1) whether the external oil lines still need to be done? how much a used head would cost? how the exhaust/intake manifolds would need to be changed if they need to be changed?

for the record, i helped a friend do a minime swap on a d-series honda to give his ex vtech, and it was pretty easy with some major benefits. any ideas how comparable it would be?

and also, just randomly, whats the difference between the SR16VE and the N1? better cams?

i hope you just made up a ga16ve motor because it doesn't exist as a motor. Secondly they wont swap as they are differnt bolt patterns, three, its almost impossible to get the N1 motor.

I second that, no way...well unless you want to spend upwards of 10k to have a one-off ga/sr hybrid block created just for you. While the ga16 isn't a bad little motor, I don't see why you would want to trade an sr's bottom end for the ga16! As psulemon said, good luck finding the n1 head, or even the engine for that matter(how many were made? wasn't it like 500?). I take it the car you have is a ga16? Just do the 2.0 swap...it was my first nissan swap and I did on my 200sx se, I really didn't think it was hard at all(then again, I have been doing this swap/custom thing for quite some time on domestics - so we might have different ideas of "hard")!

NONE of the SR parts swap with the GA parts in terms of head or internal motor components.
