200sx... is it possible

is it possible to swap the 200sx motor with a sentra se-r motor?.. i was wondering about this for a while because the 200sx motor doesn't have too much power. also is it possible to turn the car into this?

Which sentra SE-R? The Spec V? If so it has been done but you should really search. The Sr20 on the SE-R can be turbocharged with great succes and make over 300 hp with ease. Is that enough for you?

Well honestly why do you want to do that? Are you trying to swap out a GA16 and put in the QR25, what motor is in your car?

If so then why is this put in the SR20 section?

i don't know anything about engines so i thought this was the right place. anyway, i want to swap out the stock motor to a different one. so you're saying the sr20 would be a good motor to switch with the stock ga16?

The 200sx se-r come with the sr20 already in it. You would be better off just buying a 200sx se-r and modding the engine if its still not what your looking for. A slightly modified NA 200sx se-r will be just as quick as a brand new se-r or spec v. And for the price of buying a new sentra se-r motor and paying someone to swap it out(lots of work) you could sell your base or se model 200sx, buy an se-r model, build it up and have more power than if you had the new sentra se-r motor.

But to stay on topic with the post, here is a link to a thread about a guy who swapped a motor from a new sentra se-r into his 200sx. http://www.sr20forum.com/showthread....ighlight=250sx

Also, all you need is a body kit and soem rims to make your 200sx look just like the one in the pic(well, maybe a paint job to get it exactly)

i would highly recommend to do a lot of reading and searching before you do anything. A swap will run you around 5k if its the det and around 2-3 grand for the de swap. Now if you dont know anything and get people to do it, then its gonna add another 1500-2 grand for instal and fabrication. Now if you could get a B13 se-r or a rear ended se-r it might be cheaper.
