Hello All,

i have a 99 Sentra Se 26500 miles Auto Tranny...


tonight on my way home from work I ran into a problem ... i was coming to a stop behind a car and the car tmade the turn... i was doing about 20...
then I nailed it and noticed that my car shot 500 rpms past the red line and it did it again when I tried...

is this normal or should i worry..?

I wish my cars redline was higher than it says. Not sure what your saying??? Was it bouncing off the rev limiter???

my redline is 7000 but it kept hitting 7500rpms.....

very scary...
never seen it go that high in 1st....

SR20 tach is notorious for reading fast, typically 500 rpm at redline.
