Its not making one bit more power, there is a chance its throwing off your idle and part throttle mixture.

My tps is almost at .58v also and it does make it way more snappier! I'm pretty sure it will knock off a .1 on the 1/4 mile!

Doing this makes the ecu think u got the gas pedal depressed further than what u actualy have it.... it kinda makes it a tad bit richer (which helps modified cars) but YES it does mess up part throttle somewhat, but YES it is definaly faster than before..

my last drag pass was a 15.8 in the summer.. I think i could even beat that right now, maybe even a 15.6

I guess I'll ask in this thread since there seems to be some people already taking on this issue...kinda. I have a SE-R, and I checked my plugs after about 8000 miles(NGK iridiums), and they were chucked full of black carbon deposits. I was told this is because my car is running too rich. And when I watched a video of my car running at the track, I could see a puff of smoke/vapor? coming from the tailpipe inbetween high rev shifts. Someone also told me that they got some wet stuff on there windshield when they were behind me trying to keep up on the freeway. They said it came out when I shifted also. What is this?

I am sure it doesnt make your car any faster or give one bit more power.

91SR20DE: what mods to you have? I would say u are defiantly running rich... check your tps setting! if its above .50v drop it down to .45v and try that. some se-r peeps have done this and they have had great results!

morepower2: I can't say it adds HP but it does make that damn throttle response NUTS! and it pulls way harder! All the domestic and DSM guys are doing this... Its not the proper thing to do but u can improve your times for free!

if its not doing anything for me why is my little 1.6 nocking off 15.8's back in the summer when it didnt even work as good as it does now?

how fast is your se-r?

Put it on a dyno, it won't make a bit of power gain. Real power is what makes your car faster. Moving the TPS is like putting a faster throttle cam on your TB, it feels quicker because you get more jump with smaller gas pedal movment but actualy is not any different once WOT is applied.

15.8 is pretty good for a GA but its not the best I have seen for a bolt on GA. I best bolt on time I know of for a street ungutted GA16 Sentra is 15.6

I have not taken my turbo SE-R to the dragstrip yet but it probably runs very low 12's to high 11's with slicks.

My all motor SE-R runs 13.40 @ 104mph on Toyo RA-1's, have not tried it with slicks yet.

If it dosen't add power how is it gonna improve your 1/4 mile times? Think about it. I've played with the TPS on a dyno and it didn't do shit. Butt dyno's don't count in the real world at the track. Just my .02 carry on and merry x-mas to ya

HaulinSentra, the mods I have are: JWT pop charger, timing at 17, cat-delete, and a Magnaflow muffler on stock piping. Pretty simple. Best time so far is 15.9 in 94 deg heat, with a 2.65 60 ft time.
