Engine Swaping ?

93 SE R 2.0
I pulled my old engine out from my car and put in another engine of the same year and make. First time ever have I done something like this.
BUT THERE WHERE DIFFERENCES IN THE TWO ENGINES.
My question is this. Are there different types of 93 SE R 2.0 engines?
The reason I ask is because I had to inter change the front right engine mount so I could line up the brand used engine to the trany. I also had to change the exhaust manifold so I could the same oxygen sensor because the o2 sensor on the engine I bought did not have an opening on its exhaust manifold like my old one. It was located underneath the car before the cat and it was smaller than my original one. I also had to inter change the intake manifold because the engine I bought did not have an opening for the EGR Valve.
The car runs great on the road but now I have problems with over heating and keeping enough juice in the battery to crank my starter due to over heating. Any advice out there?
Does any one have any info about these discrepancies?
Thanks and appreciate any advice

Same motor. A few were 10.1 compression but there rare. Be shure to swap both temp sensors from the USDM motor that came out. Is the gauge saying it's hot or is it really hot? Swap the sensors and get back k.......james

i'm pretty sure that the 10:1 were only UK motors. The intake manifold is basically the only difference. Swap your old one in and connect the emissions equip.

Thank you for the info I did change the manifold and did replace the ecu hard ware so to speak. As I told James I don't understand the 10 to 1 compression thing. Maybe some is willing to school me on that.
But thank you for the infor. I really appreciate it.
