you can say that about every college prospect however... you don't know how they will perform under the big lights.
No you can't, you can tell some younger stars will perform at the next lever (off topic but i.e. Lebron James)
If you've watched Texas play, Young doesn't even look like he's trying when he gettin all those yardage, if he pulls that in the NFL, his head will be taken off...I'm not sayin he doesn't have potential, he has as ton, I'm just sayin he will have to step up his game big time to play with the pros

Everyone has to step up to play with the pros. Young is like R. Moss in his running style. Long strides make it look as though he's not moving very fast. Young has the legs to worry defensive linemen and an arm to worry DBs.

But an upright running style will get you hospitalized in the NFL
A good example would be McNair or McNabb... Young looks a lot bigger than them...

I'm not sayin he wasn't very fast, but his style of running has to change, he'll need to learn to slide or he won't make it past his first year

uh ok? there are plenty of people drafted in the first round that were thought to be hardasses and didn't do shit in the NFL. there were also people who were drafted in the later rounds and found to be out of this world. reading your posts i honestly can't even tell what the point you're trying to get across... everyone out of college has "potential" to be good. Just like everyone in college has to step up there game... there still isn't a guarentee that they will be good. hence what i said.
basketball and football are two differant sports. you can't compare Lebron James and others drafted out of highschool, on how they will do in a non contact sport. then using that as your argument on football... where college players aren't anywhere near the level NFL players are.

But you know what type of program they were in and how they were coached...
Why did Aikman go #1 overall when he was drafted? UCLA wasn't the #1 college team, he didn't win the Heisman..... A running QB lead OU to National Championship that year... where is he when Aikman was winning SB's? Would you like fries with that?
yeah? but no one knew if he was going to be a stud. 1-15
you lose with potential... you win with execution.

Did I say anything about comparing different sports? That's why I said "OFF TOPIC but..."
My point is this, Young will NOT execute in the NFL, he has the ability to I think, but I do not think it will happen, same goes for Bush
Leinhart will be the best prospect for the NFL to come out of college this year

You said I was comparing basketball to football, I wasn't, I said it was off topic, then mentioned Lebron...and in a previous post you stated that you lose with potential but win with execution...Young will not execute in the NFL

After seeing him play against USC, I wonder if his draft position may not be higher than Leinhart's.
I don't think so because of deep ball accuracy, he's pretty good on intermediate stuff, but the NFL likes guys with great deep ball accuracy, more so a Linaert type. Young is fast but he's not Vick, NFL players will have alot better speed than he has seen before.

Everybody knows that Lindell white will be the best prospect. He runs like Edgrin James. No gimmicks just hard ass pounding of the holes. That is what nfl teams want. Bush will not be a running back in the NFL I think they will move him to wide reciever and punt and kick returner he will only get the ball running on reverses.
People say lindell white had a break out performance in the rose bowl but he has been running like that all season. He is so consistant he will probally start on the feild as the running back no matter where he goes.
Matt Lienart probally won't do that well. To many pocket passer in the draft. Brody Coyle, brady quinn... etc.
Vince young will do well if he has protection. Running quarter backs are only supposed to run the ball when nobody is open. And that is what vince young and micheal vick do. Just that there wide recievers don't get open that easily in the red zone. Trust me if the pocket was collasping and Warren Sapp was after you I think you would run too. Under pressure running quarter backs run. Under pressure pocket passers throw the ball away or throw picks. Majority of interceptions start with the defensive line forcing the quarter back to through the ball.
