I think the Cardinals are starting to get like the Yankees in my mind. They've been there too many times already. We need to see some NEW blood in the WS.....so I WANT the Astros, but think St.Louis will make it.
The cards are far away from the Yanks...the Yankees are hated b/c according to their salary cap, they're the best team in the MLB. It's rediculous the annual salary they have as a team and still can't make it to the WS, pitiful. Cardinals are a team of heart, they have a lot of skill, but they win by playing as a team.
Pujols...theur best hitter is willing to give himself up if it means another run for his team.
Cards will/should have it all sealed up, their only competition is the Sox, both teams play their hearts out, but the Cardinals have them beat with talent

I will retract my entire statement if the Cardinals lose this series (except for the part about the Yankees being gay ) I will also drop all of my support for STL if they lose this series, all they have to do is play DECENT and they have it tied up. Error after error, shitty batting, and shitty bullpen, it's ugly. If they played decent, they'd easily win, IMO they're simply a better team, just not pulling it together now, and damn it for as much as they get paid they better pull their shit together quick.
It'd be completely different if they did not make errors or have their bullpen and hitters choke all the time, I can except a fair defeat, but the Cardinals just simply look like crap now and it's a disgrace to be called a fan

Pujols kept them alive, I still have my doubts with them against Oswalt but who knows, they could pull it off. All I know is there is serious credit to be given to Eckstein, Edmonds, and Pujols who could of all been the last and final out for the NLCS, but they fought through it
