I always wanted the Sox to play the Yankees because I thought they were the easier team.......but I was GLAD we played an beat the Angels (however you look at beating as a definition in this case). I'm glad they beat the Best team available for the Sox to play. And that's what the Angels were, the best team, at the time.
Do I wish they would have done it without the controversy, yes. Am I glad the calls fell their way, YES. Do I think AJ cheated in any way, shape, or form...NO. He did what any other player would have done. YOU gonna jump up and say, "oh wait, his bat DID hit my glove." to the ump, probably not. It's just a shame that we won with GREAT pitching and anyone outside of a sox fan sees it as, the Umps gave us the games.

Could have, should have, maybes... This above comment means nothing.. Who's to say the Angels would have scored 3 or 4 in the top of the 10th.. The inning should have been over.. only Die Hard Sox fans are the only ones that can't admit they got a 4th out.. I haven't seen one columnist, one reporter, one Baseball show saying anything other than it was a bad call... How many times do you have to see the reply of the Ump calling the 3rd strike then the out... It wasn't a bad call.. it was a total Meltdown under pressure..
It's easy..say it with slowly if it help... WE GOT A HUGE BREAK AND IT TURNED THE SERIES... Like I said the SOX won and deserve credit...but SOX fans like you have to admit you got a freebie in that one..
I have never watched a complete White Sox game... why? I'm not even close to be called a fan, I just have to be one who defends them from ignorant people flaming and making every excuse they can to TRY and justify why the the Sox whomped the Angels. If you look, that umpire made his "out" call when he was calling the third strike, he did it on numerous batters afterwards. Was it a bad call? It probably was, I'm just saying drop it and stop making it as an excuse, it DID NOT decide the series whether you like it or not. The Sox STILL had to constantly outscore the angels 3 games in a row afterwards.

even if someone believes that ( I don't ) it doesn't make them ignorant, nor do you have the right to call someones opinion ignorant.
That single call did however change the momentum... Chicago goes to Anaheim down 2 games to 0 and they play tighter... press..etc... so yes it changed the entire dynamics of the series..... Throw in another handful of bads calls and the mental state of the Angels is crushed..throw that on a gruelling schedule MLB made them play for the sake of TV and it makes a huge diff..

My cape is at the dry cleaners (spilled coffee), and I really didn't want to finish the speech, it's about 2 pages long and took me a year to come up with. If we were discussing the cardinals and astros, then it might of been worth breaking it out
