my best friend just bought a 1998 s14, its had a couple issues but ive fixed alot of them. One issue i cant get my hands on is what sounds and feels like a rev limiter at 5500rpm? ive searched around and found nothing that really helps this issue..

if you guys could throw me every possible angle on what could be wrong w/ the car id aprecheate it..

Does this happen in every gear? If it does, then you may have a fuel delivery problem. The rev limiter function only operates in high gear.
