Thumbs down SR20 HELP needed ASAP!

ok here is my problem.....

i just replaced my MAF to a 1989 KA24E SOHC MAF... now i understand that this is a direct replacement for the MAF correct?

1.) my car is running super rich and i can not rev past 3,000rpms*

2.) if i give the car partal throtal it will sputter a little bit but rep up to the point of problem 1

3.) if i give it full throtal it acts like its hitting the rev-limiter at only 3,000rpms*

4.) when i idel the car runs perfectly no chugging or bogging.

5.) i knoticed on my ECU plug there is a white wire that is cut.... when i touch thoes wires together, while the car is running, the car boggs way down to a rough idel and it about stalls. when i try to giv it gas it chuggs all the way till it hits problem 1.

6.) i have a carshow i have to have this car running for the weekend of 05-06-2005 ~ 05-08-2005 (THAT IS THIS WEEKEND!!!!) i really hope some one can help me w/ this problem(s) really quickly.

*i do not know for sure on the RPM's cause i have a 89 240 and the tach cant be driven by the sr20

ok, the white wire is the second wire up from the center screw (that conectes the harness to the ECU) on the Left side if u r looking at the wire side of the harness.

this wire has nothing to do w/ my MAF. im not sure which pin it is though

it has to be something with your wiring on the MAF...make sure you have the right plug and try to find the correct way to wire it....the plug should have three pins but have space for four pins...

well my car has more problems... yesterday i went to start my car and it just rolls over and doesnt fire. so i thought i would change the fuel filter... so i did. (thought my filter was not letting fuel into the motor) but i think my Ignighter chip is fried. also i think my TPS is bad. so im going to replace all of theese items in the next month. and see if that works.

heh, you went from a weekend dead line to a month deadline..

and before you spend all that loot replacing every single part of your engine, make sure your wiring is absolutely correct, if the wiring istn' right then the car won't run right and changing your parts won't fix anything.

well my car didnt make it down to the show this weekend :~( i was dissapointed. it was fun though :~) no 240's there at all :~) which looks good for me next year. (every year i have gone there, there is no 240's!) on the way home my friend and i were being messed around w/ by this cocky guy in a '05 Vette Convertable... cause my friend's '92 Civic CX HB has a "Surprise Inside" sticker on the hatch window lol. we really surprized him thats for sure ;~) a all-motor hatch that runs 12's in the 1320 is a jaw dropper to a guy in a vette, when all he can see is the tails of it. thats all i have to say aboot that
