Exclamation 3 grand Rev-limiter?

hey every body, my car i swear has a 3,000 rpm Revlimit lol. its kinda funny, i think it has to do w/ my AFM. i cant go over 55mph or it will chug and kick. on my SR harness what wires are what on the MAF...

what color is 12V, Ground, and Signal. i am going to resort to trial and error lol :~)

1st : 7mph
2nd : 15mph
3rd : 25mph
4th : 37mph
5th : 55mph

i feel like a semi truch driver having to shift so close.

this isnt something i couldnt take to a shop is it? and let them sort it out.
or can i?

It's a problem with the MAF. If it's unplugged or something, it won't let you rev above 2500~3000 rpms. Beyond that, I have no idea. Sorry.

yeah i just get her on the road and she isnt 100% but im surprized that it even moves! i put this car together in 3 weeks, and it can drive 55mph, not to bad tor a first timer i would say. would i just want to try different wire combo's and see if it works? its not like it could get any worse lol

Talking

ok i just ditched my RB25 MAF :~( i got a new SOHC MAF from a 89 240sx, now according to my SR20 SWAP Info Center (replacement parts that work on the SR20 here in the USA) it states that the sohc maf will be a direct replacement on the sr20det's is that correct? i also saw some one post something about needing your ECU reprogramed to run a 240sx maf! is that a bunch of horse hocky? or do i really need to do that?

You don't need any ECU work done, but I think you need to rewire the MAF so that the plug fits. www.sr20swap.com should have the right info.

Check your TPS sensor. Really easy. Just check the middle wire on the connector with a voltmeter . Should go from 0.6 or so to 4.XX volts.

ok i pulled my TPS plug off and tested it like this...

i put the Neg post of the Volt-meter onto the neg terminal, then i touched the positive post to the center port on the TPS plug... here are my results

Car off: 0.00V
Car in ON position but not started: 0.00V
Car ideling: 1.00V
Car Reving up slowly: 4.59V (b4 the car stalled)

do theese look normal? i have never tested a TPS b4
