Differnt in the LSDs.

what is the diff in a clutch type, mechanical, and viscus lsd. and what is better for what.

Clutch type LSD uses a manual transmission clutch to make sno-cones. A helical (I think that's what you meant by mechanical) type LSD uses planet gears to mimic the movement of the 9 planets in our solar system, which is useful for learning about astronomy. Viscous LSD's use highly viscous Criso oil make your car slide better around turns.

thanks smart ass. im sry if i dont know alot about lsd. i was asking what is better for what situation. the pros and cons for each numbnuts. if you are gonna say something like that then just dont waste me time and dont say anything at all

Sounds like a valid question to me...

Only benefit to VLSD is low cost.

Don't know much about helical, but they probably require little maintenance.

Clutch type, in general, is probably most effective and are available in 1, 1.5, and 2 way. They are noisy.
