Differential Gearing Qestion ( jdm s13 diff w/lsd)

I saw an s13 rear end for sale and it had lsd and 4.08 gears. What is the difference between stock usdm diff and jdm 4.08 diff ?

Not sure but I know JDM s13 final drive for both VLSD and open diffs was 3.382 except in the CA18DE where it was 3.657

4.08 sounds like a Skyline or similar diff.

All U.S. 240sx's and ALL SR20DET powered S13's, 14's and 15's came with a 4.08 rear gear stock.

Then why do the Silvia Hyper Rev magazines say different? Or am I confusing 'final drive ratio' with something else?

I just read the magazine again... I was way off with the translation!!! I was reading the reverse gear :dumbass:
