Body questions

the other day when i was washing my car i noticed that i have some rust forming on the under side of my side skirt and also on the piece infront of the rear wheel (its underneath, so i don' tknow if this is sideskirt or quarter panel). anyways my question is, is it cheaper to just buy aftermarket and/or is it possible to buy oem side skirts, then getting a bodyshop to to take 10 hrs to weld a new piece? (they estimated 10hrs, chargin me 60 bucks/hr, just to weld!) lemme know what you guys think

Sideskirts are usually either urethane or fibreglass which in most cases dont rust.

Get it fixed before it gets worse!

600 dollars for labor? um i think id pass that up lol. what you could do (since its on the bottom, nobody will notice) is get rid of the rust. once youve cleared the rust away, put on some sealer...might wanna check the rest of your car too. i noticed mine is getting rust in the roof lines and some near the hatch...

chop all of the rust out, use rustolium, slap a ball of bondo in sand paint done. total cost maybe 16 bucks.
