Question Carpet Switched to Chrome Plating

Ok ok... im buying my 240 from my friend and the car runs good and all that but the interior is kind of shitty.... the carpet has a chunk ripping off ( plus dirty with stains )so i was thinking of just stripping the carpet and putting a chrome platted floor instead of replacing the whole thing with another carpet...

Is it going to be hard switching it to chrome cause i noticed on some parts of the car they bend and have a shape... i know that people can customise the plates for me but will all this be too expensive and not worth it???

Nah too easy!
I used checkerplate aluminium. If you dont like checkerplate (also called hash plate) then there are companies that make all kinds of punched, formed or extruded aluminium plating and mesh. Ali is cheap, very light, easy to cut and polish up well. It will scratch but its easily polished up again with a lambswool rotary buffer.
I wouldnt use a smooth sheet metal as it gets very slippery when wet or dusty.

Trace around your floormats is the easiest way to make the correct shape then put them in the car and stamp on them to form them in to the shape of the floorpan.
