Yep got my first 240 and not even after a month of having it....the main crank bearing goes......now my car sits........i cant believe it....i have to drive my friends plymouth laser.......talk about a big change in power and comfort....this shit sucks......if any one in so cali or cent cali has a motor or knows any one who has one (ka24de) then pm me so i can get to you or them so we can talk money.....three damn weeks and its down for the ten count and i have to look at the car everyday damn, but i only paid 2000 for it and its a clean car so i look at it like im doing my new motor swap faster then i had planned.....
why would i sell the shell of the car i just bought, im trying to get a new long block you would have to offer me then the cars worth sorry man....and i live in cent cali near fresno

That sux sorry to hear. there are ALOT of Ka motors people are trying to sell but everyone and their brother are buying the Ka24De. You'll find one around. try using www.thepartstrader.com, www.ebay.com, The classfieds here and the classfieds on www.freshalloy.com. I just blew my b16a up in my crx and I had it sold! Now I gotta replace the motor and the guy agreed to have a b18a turbo insead of rebuilding the crx. I hope you get what your lookin for bro.

call up any place you know doing big swaps. thats where i got mine, a friend of mine works at a nissan specialty shop and had just done an SR swap and got to keep the KA so he let me have it when i blew mine....
they probably wont' let you have it but most people are too lazy to pick up the KA when they come get thier car if the place lets them keep it at all
