What kind of $$ would it take to make an auto a manual?

What kind of $$ would it take to make an auto 240 into a 5 speed? would it be cheaper just to wait till i get a rb clip and use the tranny from there? im new to 240's...hell im still lookin for one to buy and build. i found an auto but i dont want an auto but its 500 soooo............

all in all if everything goes perfect it should cost less than 1k if you do everything yourself, but 1500ish if someone else does it.

Rytone777 did it on his S14.

Aferwards we all agreed that it would have just been better to wait. He did it mainly so that he could learn to drive a 5spd on an N/A motor instead of an SR. I'd say wait for the RB.

what all is intailed when putting in the tranny that comes w/ the rb25?
will it bolt right up and what else do u have to do to make the rb tranny work on an auto 240?

This is a pretty good write up on the procedure for a KA auto to a KA 5spd... i'm not too sure, but there are a few things that you might have to do from here...
