nope not legal...
if a cop looks under your hood, and see's anything that "shouldn't" be there... he/she could write you up to take it off or some BS...

emission's wise... lets just hope you can pass in your state... otherwise.. no driving for you.

Cali is far worse, it's been over 2 dollars a gallon for awhile, and we have the gayest, strictist laws ever! It's illegal to put on an unapproved intake on your car! Geez!

Can I put a turbo in my non-turbo? Yes. The trunk is quite large.
Can I put a Supercharger in my Z31?Yes. You can probably put it next to the turbo.
Can I put a Z32/newer 300ZX/VG30DETT in my Z31? This one is iffy. You'd have to disassemble it to get it in the trunk.

I have a question for those of you who reside in the barren land of CARB (Craptastic Automotive Regulation Bullshit).

I live here in Washington and because of my tuning obsession, I will make a trip to Cali sometime in the near future. Now, if i had parts that didn't have a CARB EO number, I get pulled over and the cop checks under my hood (those perverted bastards!) will I be ordered to comply with regulations, even though I don't live in Cali?

Edit: BTW, 92 octane gas has been above $2 for a month i think. the cheapest gas you could find (87 octane piss) got up to $1.89. Ouch. Damn war, when we gonna see that Iraqi oil we took over?

No...I doubt it. Not 100% sure though. Like A cop cant make you get your tint removed if you are from another state and that state allows for the percentage of tint you have. For instance say WA allows 35% tint in the front windows. A cali cop cant make you get it removed while you are in Cali. However, if you reside in a state for more than 90 days, you have to comply with their laws (last time I checked and it has been awhile, so you may want to check on that). So short answer no. Besides...if they tried...good luck. I would take that ticket straight to court and would bet my next check it would get tossed out

the answer to gripen's Q (by first hand experience) is no... they cant give you a ticket. I used to live in LA and i know some of the ordinance rules, when I moved to AZ they didnt have as strict rules like ride hight, exhaust loudness, etc. So i went back to LA with a AZ plate and most of the rules broken to test it out... sure enough i got no tickets... not even a pull over! perty cool!!!
