No fuel pressure after my ECU got soaked, is my new one right?

yesterday my '89 240sx died when driving in the rain. The interior filled up with water when I was driving (didn't go through any puddles, the downpour leaked in) I bailed out the water and pulled out the ECU. It was SOAKED bad so i dried it off but the car still didn't start. Took the panels off and the circuit board was pretty corroded so I bought a used ECU at a junkyard today but I'm not sure if it needs to be the right code. The yard's database says it's interchangable. Both LED's on each ECU work but the car still isn't starting

My ECU has a big 11 sticker and the code is A11-B16 G12
the new one is 73 code A11-A42 G41

The engine isn't getting fuel. It kicks on starting fluid, so I pulled the fuel line off the rail and cranked to test and nothing came out, so i'm pretty sure the pump isn't running. Is the pump circuit controlled by the ECU or is it independent, and should I look into the pump itself instead?

Please help I need the car to get to work. Thanks

Accordiing to a Chilton manual that I have concerning the subject
car, the ECU does control the fuel pump operation. To be sure if the pump is defective you could rig up a direct hook-up to the
battery. Find your hot and ground leads and the process should be simple.

Maybe your fuel filter is stopped. Pull the fuel line going to the
filter. You should also have 42-43 lbs. psig pressure on the line.
That pressure reading should be after the filter.
