Hey guys,

My buddy has a Nissan 180sx RHD imported from Japan and it won't start. He bought a brand new battery and it still didnt fix the problem. We assume it may be the starter or just a lose wire. Anyone know why it won't start?

A little more info would be helpful.... do you hear the fuel pump kick in? Do you hear a few clicks? Does it crank but not turn over? I would assume that you checked the electrical with new battery - lights come on, radio, heater/AC etc etc... so you know your terminal connections are good???

If the starter is not turning check that you have power at the solenoid and that there are good connections to earth and battery. If you have an auto check safety switch on nuetral and park. If a manual you may have to push in clutch to complete starter circuit [saftey feature to prevent starting in gear on some cars]
