I'm an idiot

Hey,

this should provide some entertainment for you. I destroyed my clutch a while back and my 240 has been sitting in the driveway ever since. The reason I'm an idiot is because i left the fucking handbrake on. Now its ceased. lol When I let the handle down I can pull it back up to where it is stuck without hearing one click. So i guess the cable is the problem?

In any case.....

How do i go about un-ceasing the handbrake? I considered waiting until i install my clutch and then using the motor to break it free.... somehow that seems like a bad idea?

ps..... The handbrake works with shoes inside the rear brake disks right?

I=

shoot a lot of power lube the the back side of caliper and the cable. if it fixes it. make sure you really clean the brakes up with brake cleaner. if not the calipers are probably siezed from the piston. and youll have to replace or rebuild your calipers

No brake shoes are used.

To fix the emergency brake system, first release the hand brake. Check all three cables for any seizing. At each caliper, there's a lever; make sure they are not seized up. Worst case is you may have to take the calipers off to repair them.

I was going to upgrade my brakes anyways. Can i use the front calipers on the rear? and then i'll just buy a set of Q45 calipers for the front.

Will they not fit because of the rotors? what i meant was i want to swap the front calipers and rotors to the rear, not just the calipers.

i still don't think they will, even with the rotors. you won't be able to use the ebrake since the front doesn't have a spot for them.
