We have been approved for a home remodeling loan and the 240 has to go asap. I don't have the driveway/garage space to have people come part out the car.
So I was wondering if there were reputable forum members in the Detroit (I'm near telegraph and i-96) willing to host the car. I would let the host keep 20% of the $$$.
The car is not in good condition, I crashed it, but has some descent parts. Like newish tires, alternator, stock muffler, brake calipers/rotors/pads.
Its master cylinder failed on icy roads last Jan. and I hit a Jeep from behind. THe Jeep was slightly scratched, the 240 torn up to the engine's fan. The engine ran after the accident, but leaked antifreeze so I did not drive it. I removed all the damaged stuff, so some of the wires were removed and now it won't start. I am confident it still runs, but it was in need of a cylinder overbore and new pistons before the accident.
The doors are messed up too. The top end had been rebuilt about 10k ago by the previous owner. It has about 107k on it I think.
the color is gray, gray interior. The hatch had rust, I was in the process of repairing it with bondo and duplicolor. The window was not cracked or anything, but the hatch had the typical rust around the foam spoiler problem.
I have not been able to get a good look at the car to see it the rust came back because it is stored behind a lot of boxes, hockey stuff, etc. in the garage.
aww man... sorry... but my hatch has that rust problem too... I was actually looking for a non rusted one... but what kind of engine is it?? is it the KA24DE or the KA24E?
if u have the stock enkis i'll be more than happy to take those off of ur hands... but also, I'd like to know if your A/C was working... if it was, then i would like the a/c parts... those would be much appreciated... thanks man!!
I honestly don't know what enkis are, if that is what stock 89's came with...the kind with the circles in it, yes I have those. The A/C worked great, but that is something I don't know how to take apart...at least without unleashing hallucinogenic-atmosphere killing freon.
