I have a 89 240 with a bone stock KA24E. I am having some major problems, the car wont idle and when it does run it wont accelerate past 2500rpms. Distributor housing is broken so it might be losing its timing, I am replacing it this weekend so any other help would be great. Thanks ahead of time.

you probably have a bad MAF if it won't go past 2500rpm's.

replaced distributor over the weekend now the damn thing wont start at all... will check the maf later today thanks for the help on that. the distributor i got must be bad, going to try and swap the case out, because I know that the other one is good...any other advice would be appreciated.

The ignition timing may be off. How did you install the dist?

its probably ass backwards. people make mistakes. like when i wired my car plugs ass backwards, that was not fun. if its not the dist, or the maf, check vacuum, check throttle and cable/linkage(yes, i am serious, long story), and also your grounds(yes, i said grounds, they are actually there for something!!!)...

thanks guys havent had a chance to work on it lately will let you know what i find out. Thanks for all the advice.
