My engine light has been on for a while. How do I find out what's the problem without going to the car shop? Thank you

The ECU has posted a fault code. You need to do code readout to determine which codes are set. The procedure varies according to what year 240sx you have; the 89 - 90 cars use the same procedure and the 91 and newer cars use a different one.

State the year of your car.

mine is a '92 240sx SE. Where can I find the ECU?

The ECU is in the kick panel on the passenger side. Remove the panel under the glovebox where your right foot would be if you were sitting in the seat.
