Cold air intake filter cord?

A couple weeks ago I replaced my stock filter box with a cone filter(in my 90 240sx), and the box had the MAF hitch-up and another hitch-up.

Do i have to have this wire hooked up or is it fine?

What does it do?

its probably the temperature sensor. you'll be fine without it.

i have some pics on there now.

the first one is of the filter box.
the second one shows the second hook up next to the MAF tube.
the last one is just the wire out of the box.

yeah thats it. i haven't had mine on there ever since i put my intake on, which was over a year ago.
