Also id like some advice on buying the car..the guy wants to me trade my 97 jetta gls +$1500 for his 90 240 with the sr swap already done. My jetta has some mechanical problems as far as the suspension and i think theres a problem with the cv's too, but the engine is fine(it's the 2. slow in case ur wondering). On the other hand, the 240 has intake, full 3'' exhaust, koyo radiator, front mount inter, supposedly performance cams, and performance clutch. only problem with it is the hatch has a huge rust hole in it and needs to be replaced. Also, the car doesnt want to hold the idle. she'll start but in order to keep her running u have to keep the revs at around 4000 till she warms up then she purrs like a kitten. Im not sure wat the problem is it could be a sensor but i want to believe its the "performance cams." Any insight on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

The value difference Is impossible to tell you without looking at both cars. If the swap was done right in the 240sx, and it is for the most part a nice car - and your car is a kinda crappy, beat down car then yeah...killer deal. The idling issue - aftermarket cams won't keep a car from idling, thats just plain silly - it is most likely a bad sensor, or idle control valve.

Or a MAFS.........Sound like a good deal...as for emissions many pass...depending if they have a visual inspection...usually most fail for visual. Depends on your inspector
