okay so i don't have a nissan. i'm a honda guy who's always wondered about the '92 240sx SR. i like the fact that it's rear wheel drive, but how does it do in the slalom and skidpad?i know a little bit about the motor but nothing of the suspension or driving feel of these cars. truth is that if i could find one for cheap i'd buy it just for the look of it and hope it performs as well as it looks. that's why i'm here. to get some insight on this car b4 making a move towards buying one. so throw'em at me. currently i drive a '91 honda Prelude Si mildly modded and would never trade it for the world. i just want a second car with RWD.

its a beautiful car...my personal opinion is that it has the best stock suspension for any car....its obvious its built for drifting it glides everywhere....lol im in top 3 in the drifting class in my town...the 2 infront of me have 240sx too! every driver is diffrent test drive one to see if you like the feel...usally they are only 1000$ ...i got mine for 500$ the best part is its will kill a HONDA!!

okay now i'm not try'n to compare apples with oranges here.but i know that on my lude the stock numbers for skidpad is 86G's and slalom is 74mph. there are quite alot of 240's here in Minnesota where i live. and none of them can best me in a drag race. ofcourse maybe i just haven't run into one fast enough yet. and none of them have been able to catch me in the twisties. we do alot of racing up here. drag and corners and all. i always did like the 240sx. but when i saw one with the S13 silvia front end i started drool'n. i want to buy and build one like that. can i build one to run in the low-mid 14's without turbo?not trying to brag about honda performance here. just being real.

yea mine as of now runs mid 13 at drag...and i dont "slalom it" i drift race it however...i am in need of a stroker kit now...sigh...anyway its a fast little car and if you can tweak it just right you can run all the way to low 9 high 8s ....i know a guy who claims to be runing 9s but doesnt have a slip...all i know is its a fun toy and if you can tune it it will run quick...for the record my 240 has taken 4 hondas...no preludes however!

the one with the s13 conversion is here in MN. i saw it about two months ago. it was freshly painted black and clean as hell with no skickers on it. at first i thought it was a new car. but then remembered seeing it in Initial D. you know the gas station owner's car. seeing it in person is like meeting Eva Longoria. well maybe not that good, but it looked nothing like in pictures. there's a crew of 240's in st.paul. i'm thinking about talking to them more on this subject this weekend when i go cruising.
