I just bought my 1991 Nissan 240SX LE the other day. The car is flawless and runs just fine with no problems. I have never owned one of these cars but damn the engine feels WAY under powered. I mean this thing doesn't rev for crap. It is completley stock so I have to give it the benefit of the doubt because that stock exuast looks REALLY restrictive but do you think there could be something wrong with my motor (like it needs a simple tune up) or do these KA24DE's just really not rev at all!?

what do you mean by not rev? Like axactly? when you step on the gas, does it not want to go? or does it just feel sluggish? Or what symptoms do you feel the most?? how many miles on er'?

135k original miles... When I step on the gas the car goes but it just feels sluggish... I mean for a 2.4 16V it feels way underpowered. The car totally wants to go it just feels like something is holding it back.

Try doing a 0-60 run with a stop watch. With a stock setup, you should get a reading around 7.5 - 8.5 seconds.
