I'd go with the T28 IMO. You have some clearance issues with the oil inlet and the waste gate... With some brain power you will overcome. Its less trouble than going with a t3/t4. Don't forget to bump up the injectors 450cc + will do you wonders. The external is your choice.

hey guys, finally got my 180sx up n running
its pretty standard at the moment and in the process of gathring ideas for modification
current specs are: manual ca18det runnig the t25 turbo, turbosmart (vee-port) BOV, 600-300-76 FMIC, K'n'N pod filter, manual boost controler running at 9psi
im thinking about upgrading turbo, sumthing like a T28 or maybe a T3/T4 setup? heard the T28 will hav alil trouble, sits pretty close to the exahust maifold? was also thinking about upgrading ecu, gtn rid of rev limiter n cut out also a 38mm exernal,wil probly go for a turbosmart? any knowledge wud be muchly apperiated thanks
