Hey all.. I'm usually over in the Z forum, but today I'm going to go look at a 1993 240sx and I was wondering if there was anything I should pay particular attention to when I go look at the car. I don't know much about 240s and any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Usually 240's are relatively good all around cars, however, if this particular 240 has no wear in the drivers side seat, around the hip area, buy it!! because 240's with such a feature are scarce nowadays.. lol.. just make sure it runs smoothly with no wierd sounds, you know the usual...

Ok, so I went and checked out the car. It has a few dings and dents, interior is pretty decent looking (drivers side seat is tore up lol), KA24DE motor, but it needs a new clutch and has a little over 258,000 miles on it. the guy doesn't want much for the car, so I'm thinking about buying it. The only thing I'm worried about is the fact that it has high miles. is 258k "over the hill" for these motors?

Well 258k is a ton of miles, but, if it made it that far than obviously someone has taken care of it, did he know if it has had a head gasket and timing chain ever? Im sure it has, but if it was at like 100k miles it might be time to do it again, they'll run forever if you watch those two points especially.
