where is the t-stat?

well i think the t-stat has gone bad in my S-13 but i cant find where it is. can anybody tell me where it is ? my engine is the KA24E

The thermostat is located in the lower hose housing that bolts on the block.

slightly above the water pump it sticks out u will have to unbolt the power steering pump to get full access to it

A word of caution! Replace the thermostat with a new OEM unit, not an aftermarket unit like a Stant; aftermarket unit many times cause overheating problems.

Make sure the steam hole on the thermostat is pointing up when installing it.
