chain whip caused small crack/hole in timing cover

so there is a small crack/hole in my timing cover which caused water and oil to mix. the car was driven to my house. it ran rough. but i started tearing it apart before i did a compression test. what are the chances that my bottem end is ruined. would it have ran at all? i'm replacing the chain, head and some gaskets. is there a decent chance this car will run again?

If you hurry up & fix your timing chain & replace the head gasket,(since your replacing the head) you should come out ok. The longer your let it sit & don't flush out the water, you rod & main bearings will rust, including your cylinder walls.
