If I got the Ca18det and the 5 speed transmission with it, would that bolt in just fine and match up everything. Or would I have to take my 1989 5 speed transmission and hook it up to the Ca18det and then put it in?? Is there anything else that I would have to watch out for when I make the Ca18det swap. Thanks for the advice.

Its the same tranny. The gears are identical to a pathfinder, with the same casing as a sr ka rb20. In other words, the ca tranny will be identical as if you had to use the ka tranny. To use the ka tranny, you will need to swap bell housing from the ca tranny.
