I just bought a 1989 240 and a key is broken off in the trunk lock. Is there a cheap way to get the key out, and/or replace the lock?
Unfortunately that key is a bitch to get out unlees you have a small really powerful magnet. But trunk lock is easy to replace, just go to a nissan dealer and tell them your vin and they can get you one with the exact same key. Putting it in is a snap.

if you want a small and powerful magnet, search for neodymium magnets, but be very careful with them they are very powerful and you can hurt yourself with them

i wouldnt have posted that, seeing how it was his first post I think he might hurt himself j/k
When I bought mine it had a key fragment in the passenger door. Had been there for years. I took it to a locksmith place where some freaky (in a norman bates way) dude had his own set of custom lockpicks. He got the oxidized fragment out in 5 minutes in 0 degree weather.
Anyways, unless you live near Novi, Michigan you can't get this guy. Just find a locksmith near you that plays too many RPG's and has spent a lot of skill points on lockpick.
