You can make more then one selection, and you just select the weekends that work best for you.

I think a june 27th meet would be good, if it was possible. the problem with putting a meet on an autox day is that I know i'll be at the autox from at least 9 - 4 or 5... and it's tough to incorperate the autox into the meet since everyone will be in different run groups, and have different work assignments.

but a 28th meet at like 8 or 9 after everyones had a chance to go home and rehydrate and get cleaned up would be cool. maybe i'm just a pussy, but i always get burned to hell out there.

Lets also start a head count for possible Dyno.

I feel we are going to need a number that is four sure so we have a base line to start from. then if you have some your not sure of, put them down in a second number so we can adjust for the possible extras just in case.

that would make me 2 cars for the dyno
and i dont have a lot of friends so thats it

also if there is no way for use to work out a Dyno, i am sure would could work something out with a nascart, or something. just makes it easier to plan this stuff with more time. maybe we can have a meet the 27th, or late the 28th that is small and just plan a bigger meet later in the summer, like in late july, aug, or even into Sep. that way we might be able to get a little more planed out, and be able to get the word out better to make it even bigger. let me know

might go put a post over on slcsr.com to get the word out.

I was not planning on a meet when I suggested some of get together to go auto x, I just thought it might be fun. I am not sure if it would be doable with such short notice. I am up for more though if others want to get together.

Ok how about this, we have a little get together at the AutoX next saturday 28th. Then talk about what we could do and dates for the next nissan meet. I am already planing on being there on the 28th so it works for me.

Doing autox is probably out for me. In talking to Calvin, there just isn't a class for me to run in (yes, I am sure there is one that will take me, but why be 20 minutes behind everbody else?).

Whatever happened to the drag strip idea?

it's not about how fast you go compared to other people. it's about how much fun you have, how much you learn about your car, and how much you improve.

at least thats what the shitty autoxers like myself say.

seriously though. come out, worst case scenario you drop 25 bucks and spend the day out in the sun with a bunch of other car enthusiasts.

Big D what do you have done to your car? I am going to run STS and it will be my very first time so I am surely going to suck.

Only performance mods on currently is custom cat back exhaust and eibach sportlines. The problem is my displacement. 3.5 jumps me up into a different catagory + with my tint I would have to run with the front windows down to see anything!

What the hell. I may do it anyway.

well, you are over the STS displacement limit, and you cant run in stock classes with an exhaust or spring/shock setup. but you CAN run in the smaller STX class. looking at some results it looks like your going to be against a few WRX's, and a sentra ser specv. it's a pretty small class.

or you could run in STS Novice and if anyone gives you any shit for an extra .4 lieters, you can tell them to fuck off since your still in a novice class.

either way, there is a class that your car will fit into, just depends who you want to get beat by... if it's one of your first events you'll be more competeing against the guys in the novice class anyway.

so go and preregister and race!

dont worry about the window thing, it's not a big deal. you can run with them down or up. i dont really have a preference either way, but i'm not a super eliete autoxer! (or speller)

I would like to see a new altama run. i am sure it would do pretty well. My car would be put into a way hard class with all the engine mods i have done, but i dont care, i know i would get beat even if i had all the suspention mods i want and tires.

I like that! It's not like I would win anyway! Fuck off!

Do you have to preregister? Can you do it at the local?
