I will be there, and might even drive if everything is working on my car. I am replacing all my lifters saturday, and i hope that clears everything up, but I will belive it when i hear it run right.

I think that you should probably do the ecenter first because its a much larger course its also longer, and its a lot of fun. The one at copper hills (at least the last time i went to shoot pictures) was extremely short and it seemed as though it was a FIRST GEAR course only, with a lot of people hitting rev-limiter swtiching to second just to immediately put it back in first.
The ecenter on the other hand is a very fast couse where speeds can get in excess of 60mph, in some spots.
If you want to get some practice in this week there is an event at Rocky Mountain Raceway. They setup an auto-x/road couse on the oval and allow you to go thought it, they have a timer that will show you your time around the track, this is a non-points event since its not sponsored by SCCA. This event is really fun because you can see how the car does with small changes. The only downside to this event is you can't have passengers when your driving on the oval because of there insurance policy. Another cool thing is if you spend $15.00 you'll get to do AUTO-X and the 1/4 mile DRAGS. this friday is a special event i guess because it starts at 6pm and ends at 2am
Unfortunately I will be in Kansas this weekend. The 28th seems to work out good for me to go to an event (traveling from ID) so I guess I can't be to picky about it. I will try and make an event at the e-center, just not sure when.

well if your coming down from twin falls, you might as well stay on the night of the 28th, and stay for the sunday series event on the 29th.
copper hills was kind of a pain in the ass, but if there were as few people there this time as there were last time, expect to get a ton of runs. i ended up getting 10 runs by the end of the day, it may have been a lame course, but the seat time made up for it.
that was definatley a uniquie situation though, dont come to copper hills really EXPECTING more then 4, and you'll be pleasently suprised when you get more.
i auto-x alot at the e-center.. i've heard bad things about the faipark and the copper hills ( accutly never being at ethier one i wont make a judgment..but i've heard...) the e-center is a blast.. really techincal all the time if your rwd.. trust me off camber 90 degree turns really get fun with bald tires out back.. but dont be expecting to do well.. i've gone 3 times and gotten dead last all 3 times ( i'm in a really tought class {sts ack!} ) but i still go its fun.. dont be afraid to ask for help from people i had an experianced driver ride with me and kinda be a guide and i dropped like 5 sec's offa my time.. anyways all i'm trying to say is if ya go to any of the events go for fun.. cuz it takes alot to be competive ( trust me that damn red bmw whoops my rear end by more then 15 secs ever time.. lol )
I think that the fairpark is one of the more challenging courses, it is the one that i acutally did fairly well (this was my first event and i rode with calvin the second time and he showed me some things) Anyways my first time was 82.xx seconds, second was 72.xx, third was 56.xx, forth was 52.xx and the fifth and final run was 50.xx, i was starting to get the hang of it. The only bad thing about the FAIR PARK is there is a NOISE ORDIANCE so anything over 91db, and your asked to leave. (this happened to all the modified honda with open exhaust as well as the old school rx-7.
Copper hills looked like a kinda of technical course, it just looked kinda of bad because it was a first gear only course. It appeared that the z's and s2000 did fairly well, cause of the higher rev's
The ecenter for me however was one of the worst courses for me. The 300zx seemed to have some problems, the steering seemed fine, the car was predictable, but when i hit the Drainage parts (the dips) the car just seemed almost out of control and lots of oversteer and understeer which lead to me pushing on the brakes extremely hard, slowing all the way down losing lots of speed and having to shift in to first and trying to regain speed. so my times were very slow out of the five runs my fast was on the forth at about 80.xx seconds
1rst run -- 82.8x (bad launch because mustang going towards finish just spun out and lots of smoke so rather than hitting him i just slowed way down)
2nd run -- 82.6x (carrying an extra passenger ~200lbs)
3rd run -- 82.5x (carrying the same extra passenger ~200lbs)
4th run -- 80.xx (just myself and my car, pressing extremly hard rev limiter at least five times in first and second gear max speed about 59mph)
5th run --86.xx (carrying an extra passenger ~143lbs, going into a tight circle turn, i just lost control and slid, losing lots of speed, at the end of the S-TURN i lost control for a second and regained it and tried to end with a strong finish)
All in all i enjoyed the fairpark beacuse its more technical and a little slower which makes it seem a little more suitable for my car. The ecenter will be much better once i get the suspension tuned, and a little more power so when i exit the turn i can accelearte with out the slight bog(most likely my TPS)

Fairpark isn't bad. Don't drive down for a Saturday race for sure. As mentioned earlier, the E-Center or Wendover would be our best sites. Quite a drive to Wendover from Twin Falls though. But there is a short cut you can take from up there.
