I was just wondering if there are any aftermarket gears that can be put into a 2002 spec-v trans to help with the gear spacing. It would be nice to hit 60 in 2nd. With 6 gears to work with, you'd think they could space them differently and still have good low end and top end speed. Any ideas ?

best thing you can do is swap in the 03 tranny. you can't just throw any gear in the transmission.

6 gears doesn't mean the spacing will be like a 5 speed. they're close-ratio gears made for quick acceleration in all gears...not long gears.

Just blow up your tranny and have the dealer give you one.
