JWT POP VS Stock

Guys. I put the OEM filter box back on and it actually works better than the JWT POP sucking hot air in. I think I will keep it stock unless I decide to make it a CAI. The bottom end suffered with the POP maybe the hot air sucking in detonated the engine and timing retarted more. don;t know the answer to why it would run worse with a high flow. I dont have anything else done to it either.

high flow or not, like you said, it was sucking in hot air, which is useless to an engine.

Still good for 3-5 HP gain, hot or not.

It still flows better than stock and there are HP gains to be had.

pop charger seems like a waste to me

[quote=Ruben]dynown3d

i dont know what a pop charger is but to make 4 hp seems like a waste to me no one can tell me you can feel 4 hp so why buy it i have a cai and a cat back abnd a pulley and the car is barely any faster than stock. and ive been drag racuing for 20 years i own a 8.60/160 mph street legal camaro and most of these mods dont really make the car go any faster withe the possible wxecption of a header with a cat back it seems like everything else is a waste untill someone actulally comes out with a turbo or a blower it is not a very good bang for the buck deal my spec goes 15.05/91 mph and stock it went 15.27/89.2 mph its not he fastest but the car wheel hops like crazy but it wheel hopped just as bad stock. im putting in the place motor mounts in this comming week

It's a great bang for the buck...it's just not a very fast car lol. In terms of gains. Once you do CAI, H, E, MM and Cams, then you will notice quite a difference.
