Smile Intake Breather Question

I have a 04 SpecV and I have installed a Hotshot CAI. Just recently I installed two breathers in place of the hose that goes from the intake piping to the block. Since then the car runs great, but i have noticed after a minute at idle the rpm drops well below 500 and idles roughly, but never stalls out on me. Is this normal? Should i remove the breathers? Please advise me. Thanx,

I would plug the one on the CAI tube.

check your MAF as well. sometimes when you install the MAF onto the Intake you have the chance to twist the wires or hurt the MAF. i made sure to take care of my MAF and i have had no problems.

I have had my intake installed since Jan and I only have had this problem since I installed my breathers. Has anybody else installed breathers and if so what has been your results.

It's because the breather filters are changing the air flow readings after the MAF has measured it. Close the system back off with the hoses and your problem will more than likely go away.

Not a good idea to use those on MAF equipped cars.
