ove read in some places that you can drop the crank from the sr20 right in to the qr25. has anyone tried this i would like too know what they thought of it. i still not to sure what this motor can offer in different situations.

I have never heard that, I would be suprised if it is true. Also you would not gain anything by changing the crank alone.
skylines...I imagine wherever you read this, there was a lot more information on it...but did you bother to read any of that other information or just read a small part and come here and ask?

i read the whole thing a couple of times. i just want to know whats goin on with that portion of what i read
well it would require a lot more than just the crank. To take advantage of all that work you'd have to use a standalone ecu. Might as well buy an SR20 if you're gonna go to all that trouble with the qr.

oh ok but its not that i want to do it, i am just triing to learn more and different ways to do stuff, Know wahat i mean
theroretically, if you had a QR25 with a SR20 bottom end, you'd be able to boost it alot with power gains going way past what a SR20 can do, due to the displacement and the light parts inside the QR, also due to the better breathing head. this is really untested and rests as a theory for now. you'd have to go from bottom to top, and make sure every thing was perfect and custom done. technically, its possible (anything is) but you'd be doing it just to support the QR, and it wouldnt be economical at all. i'd just swap in a SR20DET if you want an easy 300hp
