I did get one of the first AEBS headers. Unlike most of the others that were VERY close to the alternator without the spacer mine actually hit. I had to shim the alternator for a couple of weeks before AEBS sent the bracket extension out to me. Ben refused to replace my header which he admitted was welded inproperly in the jig after promising to replace it. After the bracket extension the header still came VERY close to the alternator (like 1/16 of an inch gap) and after a few months the bracket extension snapped in half. At this time I also noticed that the whole alternator bracket (the aluminum portion that bolts to the block which the long bottom alternator bolt goes through) snapped right off. So now my alternator bracket is broken and luckily somehow still holds tightly with the alternator back in its stock location due to AEBS's extreme quality and well thought out design. I know the QR makes good torque and lacks on the top end but the AEBS does not help. The primaries are too big for our low revving, low compression engine. The AEBS makes no more power up top than HS and makes substantially less torque. With all my mods I dynoed 166whp and 165wtq w/ AEBS. HP wasnt bad but torque was a good 8-10wtq down on equally modded HS cars. I'm sure you will find this out for yourself when you dyno the AEBS.

Strange, I don't know of anyone else who had problems with the extention or bracket snapping, the extension is just a sapcer, how did that snap?

I dont know how it broke. One day I noticed a bit more vibration at idle. So I looked under the hood to find the extension broken in half. I made up my own after that and didnt have any further problems but like I said the lower alternator bracket itself is broken. It hasnt been a problem so far and the alternator is still tight. If it loosens up I guess I'll take it to Nissan. I may have a pic of the broken extension. I posted it a while back on B15. I will see if I can find it.
