starting to mod my '03 spec V - suggestions please

well i'll be picking her up saturday. how much am i going to spend for a decent cold air intake and cat-back? these are the first things that i plan on doing - no doubt i'll install them myself.

i'm super stoked - ive got 2 kicker xpl's (12's) i may put in on that R/F unit, and tint goes on right away too.

yeah spec V!!!

I say you are looking at around 700 dollars all together if you install it yourself. I have a Greddy EVO II catback and I got it for $475 and an AEM CAI for $206. Both were free of shipping and handling charges.

You can get a Magnaflow catback for about $350 shipped, all stainless steel.

An intake can be had for as little as $45 off e-bay, and between the cheap ones and the AEM might be 2 HP. Make sure you get a good filter if you decide to go cheap.

thanks

actually, i have an aftermarket head unit too f*ck that r/f nonsense

i'm going to wait on putting the subs in - no more weight than i need, i'm picky about that

so i've decided on AEM, tint, and ultra white bulbs at first.

now i'm thikning maybe lowering it a little bit? exhaust?

Went with the Greddy Exhaust. Deep throaty sound till 4800. Just gets angry after that. Spray the bolts by the exhaust with something like WD-40 and let it soak in before you try and take it off. Ended up rounding off both bolts, drilling it out and going with Grade 8 bolts and lockwashers.
