Title says it all...I want to do all I can to speed the development of an ECU reflash for the QR25. Cheston at Technosquare helped to develop a reflash for the 350z's which made great improvements in power and modability. Here's the email I sent:
Hello! I'm representing the Nissan SE-R and Spec V community in search of an ECU reflash for the QR25 found in the Sentras and Altimas.
I previously owned an '03 350z that I traded for my current '04 Spec V. I am impressed with the work you and your company has done for the 350z community, and can assure you there is a huge demand for an ECU solution for the QR25. If you browse the forums at
www.thevboard.com or
www.b15sentra.net, you will notice the demand for this modification. Many have chosen to add turbos to their SE-R's and Spec V's, however the true potential cannot be obtained without first cracking the ECU.
I feel your company can reap great benefits from developing an ECU reflash for the QR25, and at the same time help the B15 community! I will be more than happy to contact members of the boards to arrange for someone in your area to donate their car to get this project underway. Cracking the ECU of the QR25 will be the plateau-breaker in realizing the true potential of this motor. It has yet to be done, and your company can be the first to claim that accomplishment!
Feel free to email me at
thedoc2k3@yahoo.com or pm "the doc" here at my350z. I look forward to hearing from you,
Ryan Murdock

This sounds promising people. Cheston knows his stuff and seems eager to complete this project. But what does he mean about the QR ecu already being in Japan? Is he talking about a reflashed QR ecu already in Japan? Anyway, we need two people to donate time at Technosquare to help produce an ecu for the B15 community. Pm me or email me at
thedoc2k3@yahoo.com and I'll get in touch with Cheston!
Woot!
