do they differ from spec v models or will a 04 spec v cai system fit automic ser???....and who has the best price......thanks for ur help
Search the QR Forum on here. Your answer : Yes, the one that fits the SE-R Spec-V will fit your base SE-R, they're the same engine, in the same chassis. I know Nismo makes a CAI and also check out hotshot.

I have an 03 SE-R Spec V and I just installed the Nismo CAI and Cat Back. They are both great. Not to noisy until higher RPM's and crusing speeds its nice. NOt to loud.
Some info:
With the Nismo CAI you do have to cut part of the car away nothing huge though. Not sure about the other CAIs.
I have a 2002 SE-R Automatic with an AEM Cold Air Intake.
And yes, if your Cold Air is at least 3inchs in diameter, you'll have to cut (or bend) a bit of your car to make it fit in the hole. If you don't have to cut (or bend) a part of your car, then you got a cheap CAI that isn't 3inches in diameter, so you won't have the most gain in HP that you could have.

installed it, love it, and its almost a hundred bucks cheaper than the nismo or the hotshot. Same aluminum tubing, same powdercoating, same diameter, and it comes with a real K+N filter.
