Balance shaft removal + warranty

Yes, I've searched, I just want some more details that weren't in other threads., don't kill me =P

I wanted to know.. if you were to use the JWT balance shaft removal kit, most people say it voids warranty.. I just can't understand why it would void all warranty, and how would the dealership find out about it anyway? Is it obvious if you're looking at the bottom of the car? Is it possible to put it back the way it was if needed?

I care about my warranty, so I just want to make sure I'm not wasting my money if I order something that I'm not gonna put in til the warranty is up.

it voids the warratny, end of story. It would cost way too much to put it back once you do it, so no point. They would also know if you took it in for oil change and it takes 6qts.
