Right now they are holding a group buy for this header at the price of $491 + shipping. And this is only untill Sunday 8/24. You can e-mail them at sales@nismo-parts.com if you are interested.
It was shipped via. UPS and only took 4 days to ship.
Yeah they do have good prices, probably the best around that I have seen. They have just started up and I know that they are eager for business. They have a couple other group buys going on over at b15sentra.net, you should check it out, or just e-mail them.
Hopefully it will be a good fit, It looks great, and the part that bolts up against the head looks perfetly flat. I will have pics up as soon as I get it on.
Perhaps, and probably is, a stupid question.. but how much HP do headers like that add? Do cheaper headers add less hp? And what's a group buy, anyway?
Sorry, dumb questions I know, but I guess the only way to get answers to questions is to ask, if I havn't come across it reading other threads.. which I havn't.. =)
I am not sure about the HP because I haven't seen an independant dyno done for it. Nissan claims around 16hp gain.
A group buy is where a dealer, or someone selling something offers to lower the price if they can get a certain # of people buying it.
Like say something is 100. And then they might offer a group buy at the price of 85 is 10 people are in, and 75 if 20 people are in. This is just an example but you should get the idea.
Here's a funny little story with a good lesson. I got the header totally installed, torqued down and everything, then I put the alternator back on, and I had the alternator totally disconnected, and when I went to put the + wire back on I accidently touched the alternator itself with the end and blew the main fuse between the alternator and the battery. So I called up the dealership and they have to special order it. It is a 120A $13 fuse. It will be in wednesday. So if I had followed the directions that had come with the header I would've done step 1: disconnect both battery terminals!

Yeah I know right. But oh well ya live ya learn. It just sucks that I have to wait till wednesday to drive it with the header on because I have to wait for a stupid fuse to be delivered.
