i've been searching endlessly for 2 weeks now, and haven't found anything at all.
street concepts put that borgwarner custom supercharger on a spec v
but other then that i've heard nothing.
dos anyone know what's available for forced induction on a spec V?
Turbos are great but alot of math is involved if your spending the money take the time to look at what your getting in other words besher the car can handle the boost that your trying to give it

If you're gonna spend $4k then you'd be better off waiting on the borg-warner centrifugal based supercharger. I'm not sure when the thing comes out, but the full kit produces somewhere around 190 hp....
This is the website for the only B15 QR25 Turbo Kit that I know of. It's Travis's (he's on B15 and on SR20 he's unlucky, I'm not sure if he hangs around here.) If you really are serious about a turbo kit for your spec-v or 2k2+ se-r, he's the man to talk to.
Oh, and BTW QR25DEMON, power for money, this beats that s/c hands down, as pretty much all turbochargers do over all s/c's for 4cyl cars(corresponding model)
Also, I'm pretty sure the kit might need JWT ECU reprogramming, but I'm not 100% sure of the capabilities of the stock ecu. Again, Travis is the man to ask for total confirmation.

turbos don't out do super chargers nor do super chargers out do turbos its all about what you like and what your putting it on. Please don't try to tell me anything about this the only thing that wins out of them all is the twin turbo setup (that out dose them all) I'll go in more detail heres the simplest way to put it turbos give boost s/c give boost the diffrence is how much boost your putting on

check that out. i have no clue who is selling that kit. and yep s/c and turbo both give you boost...its just the difference in efficiency and the rpms range you get boost and full boost.

I was talking about 4 cyl engines, as if you didn't notice. Now, although a supercharger helps create more hp in the lower end of the power curve, the turbocharger is ideal for creating power on the higher end due to its greater efficiency (for more details, read corky bell.) Now, as we all now, most 4cyl engines achieve their power peaks at a far higher rpm than most 6 or 8 cyl engines(again I say most in reference to the majority of production cars. Don't be pointing out Mclaren F1s or any all out racing cars.) In this, the turbocharger becomes the weapon of choice. Also, since the s/c is gear-driven, it requires more hp to produce a greater gain. While this is good in a 400 hp corvette, it is not so ideal in a 116 GA16de. However, since the turbo is not powered by the engine but rather its byproducts (exhaust gases,) its power production is not as limited by the restraints and displacement of the stock engine.
And, just as a proving point, find me a 4cyl NHRA car running s/c (4 cyl piston, 4 rotary doesn't count) and winning races constantly. If you do, congradulations, you have beaten countless theories & testing. Until then, listen, learn & search.
