2003 Spec V Exhaust

I wanna put an exhaust in my 2003 Spec V but I also want it to pass emissions here in Colorado. I also want some good power gains. My friend who has a 2002 SE-R just put in the HS header with a high flow cat, 2.5 in piping, and then a straight through muffler (2.5 in) and it does not feel like he gained that much power out of it. It is extremely loud. I was just looking for some suggestions on a header and piping then a muffler. I was also wondering since the car does have the second cat in it, what if I dropped in a header and then just extended the 2nd o2 wire behind the cat. Will that still pass emissions? Any suggestions will help out.
Thanks

Check www.b15sentra.net . A guy just posted that with a header, and single cat, he passed emmissions. Keep in mind that this wasn't in your state. An exhaust won't do anything to your emmissions, so long as you leave both cats in. As far as gains go, you won't really gain on an exhaust until you allow the engine to breath easier. I lost some low end torque on my exhaust, but then made up for it with a header.

I think exhaust gets you about 3hp.
